Actor Edward Norton and model Daria Werbowy have been chosen to front the advertising campaign for the new Prada 3.0 from LG.
This is the third Prada phone to be launched by LG with the original LG Prada released all the way back in 2007 – at about the same time as the first iPhone.
The first LG Prada wasn’t really up to much and got a lot of accusations of just riding on a fashionable name, but LG CEO Dr Jong Seok Park says that Norton and Werbowy were chosen to publicise this latest Prada handset because they both ‘embody the very essence of the Prada phone by LG 3.0, combining style with substance.’
The first LG Prada may have been fairly basic but the Prada 3.0 sits next to the Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of hardware and design. It will feature Android Gingerbread, have a 4.3 inch LCD screen, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video and like the S2 it will be pretty slim, measuring just 8.5mm in thickness.
